About Us
Our Story
Every desk tells a story. Three years ago, mine was a mess — tangled charging cables, a laptop balanced on a stack of old notebooks, and a pen pot that had somehow become a graveyard for dead batteries and spare keys. I wasn't running a business back then. I was just a person who worked from home, got endlessly frustrated by clutter, and started looking for a better way to live and work.
That search is really where Havers began, even though it didn't have a name yet.
How We Started
I didn't launch with a warehouse, a team, or a big plan. I started completely alone, sourcing products by hand, testing them on my own desk before I ever thought about selling them to anyone else. If a cable organiser didn't actually stop cables from tangling, it never made it further than my recycling bin. If a desk organiser looked lovely in a photo but wobbled the moment you put a laptop on it, it wasn't good enough. I wanted things that worked in real life, not just in a product listing.
The earliest days were slow and, honestly, a little uncertain. I sold locally first — to neighbours, to people at markets, to friends of friends who'd heard "that person with the nice wooden desk boxes" was worth a look. There's nothing quite like handing someone a product in person and watching their face when they realise it's actually well made. Those early conversations taught me more about what people actually needed than any market research ever could. People didn't just want storage. They wanted their space — and by extension, a little piece of their day — to feel calmer.
Word travelled. A loyal little community of local customers grew, and with their trust behind me, I took the leap online. I remember packing the first handful of online orders on my kitchen table, double-checking each one like it was the only order that mattered, because to that customer, it was.
As things grew, I started selling through marketplaces like Etsy, which introduced Havers to customers I'd never have reached on my own — people setting up their first home office, students trying to make a small desk feel bigger, small business owners who just wanted their workspace to look and feel a bit more like them. Every review, every message, every repeat order told me the same thing: there was real demand for products that were genuinely useful, well made, and designed with everyday life in mind — not just another gadget destined for a drawer.
That demand eventually became more than one person could handle alone, and that's when Havers stopped being a one-person project and became a proper, dedicated team. We're still small by design. We'd rather stay close to our customers than grow so fast we lose sight of why we started.
Why Customers Trust Us
We're not the biggest name in home organisation, and we're not trying to be. What we care about is being the brand people come back to — because their bamboo charging station has survived three years of daily use, because their desk organiser still looks as good as the day it arrived, because when something did go wrong, a real person sorted it out quickly and without a fight.
We personally test the products we sell. We read every piece of feedback that comes in, good or bad, and we act on it — whether that means dropping a supplier that's cut corners or reordering a bestseller because customers simply won't stop asking for it. When you buy from Havers, you're not buying from a faceless catalogue. You're buying from people who still remember packing that very first order on a kitchen table, and who still care about getting the next ten thousand exactly as right.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help people build calmer, more organised spaces to live and work in, with products that are genuinely useful, thoughtfully made, and built to last well beyond the first few months. We believe a tidy desk isn't just about appearances — it's about giving yourself room to think, to focus, and to actually enjoy the time you spend at your workspace.
Our Values
Quality first. We choose materials and craftsmanship that hold up to daily life, not just to a product photo.
Honesty over hype. We'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than sell you something we wouldn't use ourselves.
Real support, real people. Every email is read and answered by someone who actually understands the products — not a script.
Sustainable choices where we can. From natural bamboo and walnut finishes to responsible packaging, we try to make choices that respect the materials we work with.
Customers first, always. Every decision, from which products we stock to how we handle a return, starts with the question: is this genuinely good for the person buying it?
Looking Ahead
We're still growing, still learning, and still sweating the small details the same way we did when it was just one person and a kitchen table full of parcels. As Havers moves forward, our focus stays exactly where it started — finding practical, well-made products that make everyday life a little easier, and standing behind every single one of them.
Thank you for being part of that journey, whether you've just found us or you've been with us since the beginning. We're genuinely glad you're here.
